My mum and my step dad are coming here for a couple of days. I'm going to ask them to bring my winter jacket, snow tires, car heater and winter boots. It's really getting cold here now but that's nothing to how it's like in my hometown. There is already snow on the ground there!

The nordic winters :) I lived in Finland for 3 years - close to Helsinki - and was amazed at the 6 months of snow we had and how cold it actually got. But it was still bearable as it is a dry coldness unlike here, where it is always "wet" and makes you feel really uncomfortable as you start to freeze through to your bones within minutes.
