Simone: How is it in January with the winter sun?
What sun? ;) I'm back in Stockholm now and here you're able to see the sun but in the north of Sweden you can't. It's actually getting brighter there right now. November and December are really dark months and then you only have a couple of hours of daylight each day. As you might remember I have also lived in the very far north in Norway, and there it didn't get bright at all in December! It was dark all day and all night.
In a couple of weeks you will be able to spot the sun in all these places. Sometimes people ask me how I'm able to live in the darkness. I'm so used to it so I don't mind. I haven't even thought about it until I moved to the USA and saw the sun in January. I got so confused then, and thought it was spring ha ha.
On the other hand, it doesn't get dark at all in the summers so then we have 24 hours of sunshine every day instead.

pretty scarf!
ReplyDeleteIt's surely very snowy there! So nice :O Are you in Sweden now? My baby is now in Norway for his job.. ^^ I can't imagine a couple hours of sunlight in winter, but it's surely late sunrise here nowadays also

Lovely pics as usual. :)
ReplyDeleteHehe :) I had to laugh when I saw my question at the top.
ReplyDeleteI do know that in the winter the sun hides for a while but it is always better to get information from someone who comes from that area than reading about it. I have only ever been so high up north in the summer, so can't tell about the winter.
I do miss northern Europe a lot, your pics remind me of so many things I left behind.
And I envy you because you have Din Sko shops around ;p I am after one pair of ankle boots but I doubt they will still be available when I go to Sweden in the spring.
